The wait is finally over. I got my period. Now I know I'm not pregnant.
I was 14 months late.

I did the final back-breaking job today of leaf-blowing/sucking. Thank the Lord I have only one really big tree. It about killed me.
But I found out a couple interesting things:
The dog apparently doesn't recognize the deck as a wooden surface when it's covered with leaves. I sucked up a fair amount of poop.
Deer like to poop on the steps of the deck leading down to the woods. WTF? Now, unless they eat and poop at the same time, I don't understand this. I will often throw stale bread off of the balcony and it will land on the steps where the deer poop is. But I didn't really think that deer ate bread. By the looks of their poop, they eat lots of berries. And where are these berry bushes that they are feasting on anyway??
A leaf blower will not suck up a chunk of cement but it will blow that fucker clean across a 20 foot deck!
The smell of oil from a 2-cycle engine does not leave your nostrils for HOURS.
SO better be home for next year's leaf activities, damnit.

I've not been tagged, and I'm not going to tag anyone, but what the hey, I'm runnin' outta material here, not like you couldn't tell. And I've never been one to follow the rules, as a rule. These items will be either/both random and/or weird. How's that for proper English?
First here are the rules:
1. Link to the person that tagged you and post the rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 random and or weird things about yourself.
3. Tag 7 random people at the end of your post and include links to their blogs.
4. Let each person know that they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
You may now make fun of me.

I think there are two reasons for my recent lack of posts. One is that I have been in a boring routine with nothing much happening. Work, which I don't really talk about here and home life have been relatively quiet and tedious. The same old same old variety.
This week though has been a refreshing change. SO came home on Saturday after 3 weeks in Paris. He's only home for a week, but it's so wonderful having him here. We've been hanging out, eating out and trying to make the best of the short time he's home.
I'm cooking Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday since SO won't be home. Turkeys aren't on sale yet so I'm just going to buy a nice hunk of breast and go with it. SO's dad doesn't eat turkey so I'm making a meatloaf (ew) too. All the fixin's and we're good to go. Now, if I can just get my house clean enough to please his mother.
I've been having some back issues...lower back pain after doing housework and upper back pain from standing while cooking, teaching, etc. It's really getting to me but I'm not really ready to visit the doctor for it yet. I'm thinking thats a can of worms I don't want to open yet. When I find myself complaining all the time about the pain, I'll probably make an appointment.
You're going to find these inane, boring posts daily since I'm trying for this NaBloPoMo thing. Apologies to you.

I occasionally browse through my stats and see where people are from that visit my blog. I know for sure of about 5 people that read here and where they are located. The rest? Not a clue.
So, in the next few days, I'm going to ask any lurkers to step up to the plate and de-lurk! Leave a brief comment (or long, if you like) and let me know where you are and how you got here. Who you are is totally optional, but I would appreciate knowing that, too.
I like comments and would love to get to know y'all.

It's raining and dreary today and I have a million things to do. I have a meeting this morning then shopping to prepare for a weekend of camping at our family reunion. We always have a blast there, spending quality time with immediate and distant family. Great food and great people. All we need is great weather.
We will come home Sunday night and I leave Monday morning for Vegas, baby! More of an educational trip, but still there will be free time for fun and sun! I get home Friday morning, landing at 6am and then have a 6-hour training session at 10am for a job I'm trying to get. Oh yeah. I'll be on the top of my game for that one. Lack of sleep combined with copious amounts of Xanax to get me through the flight should make for an interesting session. I should probably take enough meds to ensure I am passed out for the 4 or so hours I'm on the plane. Couple in drinks in the airport before I leave. Yeah. That'll work.
