I am officially collar-free! Yipee! And I'll be starting therapy to get my neck strong and mobile again. I will also be working on getting the strength back that I lost in my biceps or triceps......I get them confused. Anyhoo, I'll be working on my ceps. I will go three days a week for up to a month. Certainly a PIA but necessary.
I'm looking forward to feeling "normal" once again. No more stares and neck sweat. It's going to be a good summer.

"Silence of the Lambs," should have been on my list too. I just finished watching it. Beginning to end. I love On Demand.

Can you believe that St. Elmo's Fire is on TBS this morning? That's another one that I forgot to put on my list. I'm not going to get anything done today.

For the most part, the foliage in Western Pennsylvania wasn't much to talk about this fall. At least not in the Pittsburgh area. SO and I usually make a trip somewhere in the state to try to see leaves at their peak but he was in Paris during that time. We decided to travel to Ohiopyle State Park the weekend he was home knowing that the scenery would be pretty despite the color of the leaves.
We were not disappointed. We hadn't visited there for quite a few years and had forgotten how nice the landscape is. It was very chilly that day, but the sun shone brightly and the colors were crisp. The only thing interfering with the clarity of the view was the steam from the small waterfall.
We still managed to see some pretty colors, even though it wasn't the red and gold hues of the leaves.

Today's weather called for sitting on the balcony and watching the wildlife. This is something Liqueur and I do frequently but as of late, the rain and cold has kept us in.
We watch this particular squirrel on a regular basis. He visits the deck and the roof doing God knows what kind of damage to either. He has made my flower pots hiding places for his many winter snacks. Today he perched on a branch and began the arduous task of deflowering a black walnut. I was sure it would take a while so I sped upstairs for the camera and the long lens. I didn't take the time to look for the tripod which was probably a mistake but I managed to get a couple of good shots. If you click on the pictures, you can see them original size.

I have to add to my, "Movies I can't click past," list to include Dirty Dancing (shut up,) St. Elmo's Fire, I Am Sam and The Fabulous Baker Boys.
We just got an extended digital cable package for a couple of bucks because WanSon is an awesome, uber-effective complainer. Trouble is, now I have Bravo and they play just about everything on my list in a month's time. I am currently watching, "The Breakfast Club," and I watched about half of, "Dirty Dancing, " this afternoon. I'm never going to get my office reorganized at this rate.

In the last 48 hours, I've watched somewhere in the neighborhood of 8 hours of, "America's Next Top Model," and, "Project Runway."
Clearly, an intervention is in order.
I also have a penchant for watching certain movies over and over. Some of these movies include, in no particular order:
I'm sure there are more. I will add them as I think of them.
Do you have a particular movie that you just CAN'T click past?

These titles are getting more and more lame....
I stayed up way too late last night watching, "Living with Tigers," on Animal Planet. It's about a guy and two tigers named Ron and Julie that were raised in captivity and and were being taught to survive in the wild.
It was a really captivating story and amazing video. Did you know that there are only about 5,000-7,000 tigers left in the wild? They expect them to be extinct, um, I forget the year, but it's pretty soon. These gorgeous big cats will be no more if their habitat disappears.
The guy from Canada that brought these tigers to Africa to train them to be wild (?) had such a special relationship with Ron and Julie. It was beautiful to watch them interacting. I don't know if this is a series or not; I've got to look it up because I want to see what happens next. I encourage y'all to find it and watch it. You know, it's Tiger Week on Animal Planet....I'm sure they are re-playing it. Oh, and the guy? He's hott.
On a related note, on Animals Cops: Houston they rescued a tankful of neglected fish. Granted, there were starfish and shrimp in the tank, but honestly? I don't see the point.
