I'm watching the closing ceremonies of the 2010 Winter Olympic games in Vancouver, Canada. Neil Young has just sung "Long May You Run." Love that song. Just sayin'.
I have had a tough time getting through this winter. With 24 inches of snow falling in the first weekend in February and probably another 12-14 since then, it's been hard to get out sometimes. Couple that with the self-diagnosis of SAD, I am just a big ol' slug.
Thank the Lord that work has improved. I have never written much about work due to the fear of being "found out" but holy hell it was bad last year. The situation has improved, remedied, whatever you want to say and the job is no longer the stress-inducing place that nearly had me quitting last year. Still, I find myself hating to go; to leave the house, to get myself ready. I am good once I get there and if I'm kept busy. The work is easy for now, no stress there. We'll see in a few weeks.
I have procured a cheap broad-spectrum light that I hope will alleviate some of the feelings of gloom and doom that I've been having. Keeping the fingers crossed.
This sounds like a quick note sent off to a long-lost friend. Whatever. It's for me.
This is the bane of my current existence:
